I need to purchase tires about a week from now.
Right now I have Yokohama AVS 100 on and they have been great Tires, awesome for the first 10,000 (10k) miles. Great Traction and great sidewall strenght.
>>Only Negative part is that Rear tires were worn out after about 10K miles, the Front tires are worn out after 27k miles.

Currently I am looking at Michelin Pilot Exalto E/S
Link from Tire Rack

Anything that you guys recommend?

I need just a High Performance Summer Tire, and Good Sidewall Strenght for Cornering.
I don't drive in the Snow, and It barely ever rains, so no worries.

Thanks for any input.

Mark, I have used the AVS ES100's and yes, they wear very quickly.
I managed to get about 11k miles, if I remember correctly.
They had good traction, but got pretty noisy soon.

I switched to the Fuzion ZRi after that. They were pretty good, and great value too.
Check the reviews and ratings, maybe you should try those out.

I just recently replaced my Sumitomo HTR ZIIs with the more treadwear friendly HTR+. I was happy with the HTRZ IIs, except they wore out quickly. But they were sticky as hell.. smile.gif The HTR+s are quieter, and have about twice the treadwear rating, although the tread is not as cool looking as the HTR Z II's.

Also, they are quite wallet friendly, at about $99 for 245/40/ZR18.

I've been a huge fan of Kuhmo for a couple years. The Kuhmo Ecsta SPT has both good summer grip and wear and the rain traction is good too.
I like the Kuhmo Ecsta MX for super sticky autocross tires but they wear more quickly (I just ordered two of those to replace my front SPTs and will eventually replace the rears with them)
SPT 's run $99 at tire rack and the MX is $121 (for 235/45/17).
I've also heard good things about the Sumitomo HTR+ winters is talking about. From reviews on tire rack and talking to PCA and BMWCCA peeps at the auto cross events, I get the impression they are both great 'for the money' tires.
